Here is where I create custom made-to-measure bridal pieces completely by hand in my home studio in Sydney, Australia. The very opposite of mass-produced commercial factory garments, each piece is made lovingly from scratch by a single pair of hands. From the pattern making, through garment production and all the way to the final embellishment process, this is the very essence of artisanal, slow fashion. Each garment is created uniquely to fit a single wearer, with a singular attention to detail and quality to ensure an outfit you will treasure like no other on your special day.

As a dressmaker I was initially trained in Costume Design for theatre and ballet, before falling into the world of bespoke bridal couture. After many years of working in one of Sydney’s top designer bridal couture houses, I had the opportunity to create my own wedding dress when I got married in 2022. Using the skills and knowledge gained from my industry experience enabled me to create the high-end couture style dress of my dreams, and gave me the confidence and self belief to dare to dream of creating my own bridal collection. Thus Elvie Rose was born. With this label, I aim to create individual, custom couture dresses for brides looking for that unique handmade touch, but without the luxury price tag of exclusive bridal salons.
